Inevitable Girri Chaupal

A lot of people never use their initiative because no-one told them to. But this is indifferent with honorable Member of Parliament(East Delhi), Shri Maheish Girri. Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, Girri Ji proved that there is no elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. Girri Chaupal is an endowment, an inevitable initiative by Shri Maheish Girri, with an idea to resolve maximum problems with respect to minimum time. It brings together officers from each government department to resolve public grievances. The numerous departments include: Public Welfare Department (PWD), BSES, Delhi Development Authority (DDA), East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) (including works, project, building, education, health, malaria, sanitation, electrical, license and horticulture divisions), Traffic Police, Delhi Police, Social Welfare Department, DUSIB, DJB, Health, Education, Irrigation and Flood Control, Food and Civil Supply. This was the 40th Girri Chaupal, which was held on 24th June 2016, at Kailash Nagar, East Delhi. The setup was designed on the road covered with tent, having stage and proper seating arrangements for all. There, Maheish Girri Ji himself sat and sorted out the grievances of complainants residing in that area. The issues, be it personal or social, were to be in written form of application, the same format being followed throughout the early chaupals. Those applications were handed over to Maheish Ji. Then the government officals of the concerned department were called to resolve those issues by agreeing the amendments to be done, in a written form, within a deadline. 50 and above issues were resolved during this Chaupal. The main high spot was, when Maheish Ji announced the declaration of Multi Level Parking, to be made in Gandhi Nagar, with his MPLADs Funds. The Girri Chaupal has a 100% positive outcome, with no negativity. It spreads a robust message to all government officials and also able to gain faith in public. It is such a brilliant initiative, which has turned out to be an eye-opener to all, be it politician or general public.
